How can we obtain the valency of a compound radical?

Expert Answer:
The rules are same for radicals as in binary compounds
If we know the valency of metal used wecan find the valency of radicle by cross multiplying
For example:
Sodium sulphate the formula is Na2SO4
We know valency of Na is 1 so valency of sulphate radicle will be 2
