Here is an example of each: Positive feedback mechanism: Low levels of thyroid hormone act as a signal to the pituitary gland to increase the output of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). Negative feedback mechanism: High levels of thyroid hormone act as a signal to the pituitary gland to decrease the output of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).
