how are the secretions of the hormone contolled?

Hormones of various glands are controlled by pituitary gland. The secretions of various hormones are kept in a particular level by feedback mechanism.
Feedback mechanism is the mechanism that regulates the action of something else. There are both negative and positive feedback mechanisms. Here is an example of each: Positive feedback mechanism: Low levels of thyroid hormone act as a signal to the pituitary gland to increase the output of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). Negative feedback mechanism: High levels of thyroid hormone act as a signal to the pituitary gland to decrease the output of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).
