There are two possibilities : either the ball drawn from the first bag is white or it is red.

So the experiment has to  take into account  both these possibilities.

Total number of balls  in the first bag =5

Total number of balls in the second bag =6

If the ball drawn is white and it's transferred to the second bag , then the number of balls in the second bag  increses by 1 i.e it becomes 7 , but the number of red balls in the second bag remains unchanged.So the probability of drawing a white ball from the first bag , transferring it to the second bag and then drawing a red ball from the second bag =(3/5)*(4/7)=12/35

 

Similarly,

If the first ball  drawn is red, then the number of balls in the second bag =7 and number of red balls in the second bag=5

So the probability =(2/5)*(5/7)=10/35

So,

 required answer=22/35
