Find the local maxima and local minima for the given function and also find the local maximum and local minimum values f(x)=x99, xf(-3,3)
Asked by srisrinivasa.mcrl | 04 Feb, 2024, 10:39: AM

Given: f(x) = x^{99}

So, f"(x) > 0 for x > 0 and f"(x) < 0 for x < 0

Taking f'(x) = 0, we get, x = 0, which is a critical point but it is neither minima nor maxima.

Hence, there is no minima or maxima.
