Consider the given equation:
If your R.H.S is 1, then,
 
A s s u m i n g space t h a t fraction numerator cos theta minus sin theta over denominator cos theta plus sin theta end fraction equals 1 rightwards double arrow cos theta minus sin theta equals cos theta plus sin theta rightwards double arrow 2 sin theta equals 0 rightwards double arrow sin theta equals 0 rightwards double arrow theta equals sin to the power of minus 1 end exponent open parentheses 0 close parentheses rightwards double arrow theta equals 0
There is no such option that theta equals 0
 
If your R.H.S is -1, then,
fraction numerator cos theta minus sin theta over denominator cos theta plus sin theta end fraction equals minus 1 rightwards double arrow cos theta minus sin theta equals minus open parentheses cos theta plus sin theta close parentheses rightwards double arrow cos theta minus sin theta equals minus cos theta minus sin theta rightwards double arrow 2 cos theta equals 0 rightwards double arrow cos theta equals 0 rightwards double arrow theta equals cos to the power of minus 1 end exponent open parentheses 0 close parentheses rightwards double arrow theta equals pi over 2
