Only FeSO4. 7H2O can be oxidised since Fe is in +2 oxidation state.

Hence,

Milliequivalents of KmnO4 used = milliequivalents of green vitriol

Let the mass in gram of hydrated ferroussulphate be x

( x divided by 278) * 1000= 5.4 *0.1

 x = 0.15012

No. of moles of hydrated ferric sulphate in the mixture = (5.5 -0.15012 )/ (molecular wt of hydrated ferric sulphate)

= (5.5 -0.15012 )/ 552 = 0.0097 mole
