Three ways by which the Legislature exercises control over the Executive are:

• Vote of no confidence - If the government (executive) acts in an unconstitutional manner, or against constitutional provisions, then it can be voted out of office through the vote of no-confidence.
• Interpellation - Through the Question Hour, Calling Attention notices and Half an Hour discussions, the members obtain information on a matter of public importance or grievance. It keeps the government on its toes.
• Adjournment Motion: The Parliament can pass the adjournment motions for censuring the acts of omission and commission of the ministers.
