A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}, B = {3, 6, 7, 9}
Number of subset of A = 27 = 128
Any subset of A having elements only 1, 2, 4, 5 will have no common elements with B.
Number of subsets of the set {1, 2, 4, 5} is 24 = 16
So, for the set {C subset A : C intersection B is non-empty}.
Number of elements in this set is 27 - 24 = 128 - 16 = 112
