Ohm-meter is the unit of resistivity
Resistance R of conductor is directly proportional to length L of conductor , R
L

Resistance R of conductor is inversely proportional to crosssection area A of conductor , R
1/A

Hence we get Resistance R = ρ × ( L / A )
where constant ρ is resistivity of material of conductor
Unit of R = ohm ( Ω )
since unit of lenth is meter and that of area is square meter , we get unit of resistance as ohm-meter
