Let breadth = (x)
Then, length = (3 over 2x) m
Let the height of the room be y m.
Area of the floor = open parentheses fraction numerator C o s t space o f space c a r p e t i n g over denominator R a t e end fraction close parentheses= open parentheses 972 over 18 close parentheses = 54 m2
x space cross times space 3 over 2 x = 54
rightwards double arrowx2 =open parentheses 54 space cross times 2 over 3 close parentheses
 
rightwards double arrowx = 6
Now, Area of the four walls = open parentheses fraction numerator C o s t space o f space w h i t e space minus space W a s h i n g over denominator R a t e end fraction close parentheses
                                             =open parentheses 1080 over 6 close parentheses = 180 m2
Therefore    2(9+6)y = 180
             rightwards double arrow 30y = 180
             rightwards double arrow y = 6
 
Hence, length = 9 m, breadth = 6 m, height = m
