**Construct a rhombus where one of its diagonals is equal to its sides.**

Expert Answer

Let us construct a rhombus with each side of length 5 cm and diagonal AC = side = 5 cm.

Steps of Construction:

i) Draw a line segment AC of length 5 cm.

ii) With A and B as centers and radius = 5 cm, draw arcs above AC cutting each other at B.

iii) With A and B as centers and radius = 5 cm, draw arcs below AC cutting each other at D.

iv) Join AB, BC, AD and CD.

ABCD is the required rhombus.
