Ions are the charged particles made out of atoms. It also consists of subatomic particles electrons, protons and neutrons but like atoms number of electrons is not equal to number of protons. When number of protons are more ion is positively charged and is called asCation.When number of electrons are more ion is negatively charged and is called as Anion.Thus ions are charged particles.
