can the direction of body change when there is constant acceleration?

when  you move veritically upwards , after reaching the higest point, the body starts falling down ie. the direction of the velocity is reversed, whereas the acceleration remains constant.

Two wires of copper have the same length but cross-sectional area in the ratio of 3:1. The resistance of the thicker wire is 12 ohm. (a) Calculate the resistance of the thinner wire.
