If the power rating of coil P = 1 kW when it is operating on V = 220 V voltage , then its resistance R is calculated from the relation
If the heater coil operates on 110 V voltage , then maximum current I drawn by heater coil is
I = voltage / resistance = ( 110 / 48.4 ) A = 2.273 A
Hence Ampere rating of fuse should be 2.3 A
