Given that,

Initial velocity of body, u = 10 m/s

Initial height, h = 390 m

Acceleration due to gravity, g =  10 m/s2

Now,

Using kinematic equation.

s = ut + ½ at2

390 space equals space 10 t space plus space 1 half cross times left parenthesis negative 10 right parenthesis t squared
i. e. comma space t squared space minus 2 t minus 78 space equals space 0 space
By solving this equation we will get t ≈ 10 sec.
