CBSE Class 9 Answered
An elevator is designed to lift a load of 1000 kg with uniform velocity of 2m/s . Power of the elevator will be?

Since the load is lifted with constant speed , Force F = mg = 1000 × 9.8 = 980 N
where m is mass of load and g is acceleration due to gravity.
Power = force × speed = 980 × 2 = 1960 W
