After the collision , if two cars are stucked together , Then the collision is perfectly inelastic.

In a perfectly inelastic collision, only momentum is conserved .

Initial momentum before collision = mass × velocity = 3000 × 20 kg m/s = 60000 kg m/s

After collision , combined mass M = ( 3000 + 2000 ) kg = 5000 kg

speed after collision = momentum / mass = 60000 / 5000 = 12 m/s
