Given that

Resistance of two potentiometers, R1: R2 = 2: 4

Now,

Potential gradient = V/L

Thus the ratio of the potential gradient = fraction numerator begin display style fraction numerator 2 I over denominator L end fraction end style over denominator begin display style fraction numerator 4 I over denominator L end fraction end style end fraction equals 1 half
