What would happen if seeds are not kept moist during experiment ?(1)

Seeds require water for growth.If there s no water content or moisture in the seeds, then the seeds would dry up and the rate of respiration will fall.
 
It is same as you plant a new seedling and when you pour manure of fertilizers with some addition of water to carry ou respiration.
