What happens when Dil. Sulphuric acid reacts with magnesium?

Magnesium reacts with dil.sulphuric acid to form magnesium sulphate with the liberation of colourless and odourless hydrogen gas which burns with a popping sound.

Mg + H2SO4MgSO4 + H2
