Vijaya is confused between the terms menarche and menopause. Help her understand the difference between them. What is the approximate age for menarche and menopause?

The first menstrual cycle which begins at puberty is known as menarche, whereas the end of the menstrual cycle or reproductive phase is known as menopause.

Menarche occurs at 13 years (approx.), and menopause occurs at 45-50 years.
