Expert Answer
Synthetic urea is largely used as such in crop agriculture to supplement the essential major element nitrogen (N) for the plants.
Urea is a naturally occurring, colourless and odourless non-protein nitrogenous compound found in the urine of humans and most other mammals. Excessive concentration of urea is toxic to the tissues. Therefore, it has to be diluted with enough water to a safe concentration, removed, and excreted.
