Given: Volume of the right circular cylinder (V) = 1694 cm3

Radius of its base (r) = 7 cm.

Let h be the height of the cylinder.

begin mathsize 12px style straight V space equals space 1694 space cm cubed
πr squared straight h space equals space 1694
straight h space equals space fraction numerator 1694 cross times 7 over denominator 22 cross times 7 cross times 7 end fraction space cm space equals space 11 space cm
end style

Let C denote the curved surface area of the cylinder.

begin mathsize 12px style straight C space equals space 2 πrh
straight C space equals space 2 cross times 22 over 7 cross times 7 cross times 11
straight C space equals space 484 space cm cubed end style
