Given: Diameter of cylindrical vessel = 28 cm ⇒ radius of cylindrical vessel (R) = 14 cm

Height of cylindrical vessel (H) = 12 cm

Let V denote the volume of the cylindrical vessel.

Length of the rectangular tub (l) = 66 cm

Breadth of the rectangular tub (b) = 28 cm

Let h be the height to which the water rises and V_{1} denote the volume of the rectangular tub.

Now, volume of water in the rectangular tub is equal to the volume of water in the cylindrical tub. Therefore,
