CBSE Class 11-science Answered

The mean diameter of a thin brass rod is to be measured by vernier calipers.A set of 100 measurements of the diameter expected to yield the more reliable estimate than a set of 5 measurements. Which kind of error is getting minimised in that process?

Personal error is one of the systematic error occurs in measuring physical quantities.
Personal error  arises due to an indivdual's bias or carelessness in taking observations without observing proper precautions. 
 
This kind of personal error will be minimised if we take more number of measurements and take average
