SHORTER WAVE LENGTH LIGHT IS USED TO DETERMINE THE POSITION OF OBJECT WHY?

Expert Answer
Short wavelength of light which is in microwave frequency range ( 300 MHz to 300GHz, wavelength range 1m to 1 mm)
is used to determin the position of object because they are suitable for long range communication.
The longer the wavelength generally the further we can send that wave, but the lower the resolution
as to the object information and the slower the feedback. The short wavelength microwave causes large reflections
from the size of ship and aircraft. Also, at these wavelength, the high gain antenna such as parabolic antenna are
conveneiently small, allowing them to be rapidly turned to scan for objects.
