Magnetisation M = χ H  .............(1)

where χ  is magnetic susceptibility.  χ is related to relative magnetic permeability μr as , χ = ( μr - 1 )
H is magnetising field which is given by, H = n × i ,
where n is numer of turns per unit length in solenoid and i is the current passing through solenoid.

Hence magnetisation M = ( μr - 1 )× n × i = 999 × 300 × 0.5 ≈ 1.5 ×105 A m-1

magnetic moment = M × V

where V is volume

magnetic moment = 1.5 × 105 × ( 0.2 × π × 102 × 10-6 / 4 ) = 2.356 A m2
