Expert Answer
The given circuit is redrawn in the figure shown in order to calculate the equivalent resistance.
Equivalent resistance can be worked out as (42/31)Ω.
total resistance in the circuit including internal resistance of battery = (42/31)+(2/3) ≈ 2Ω .
current in the circuit
voltage drop across resistance network = current×Equivalent-Resistance = 0.9×(42/31) V
current through 3Ω resistance
power disspated in circuit = i2 × R = 0.9×0.9×2 = 1.62 W
