The variation of emf of a cell with temperature has beeen explained in terms of Gibbs-Helmholtz equation. The heat of reaction ΔH for cell reaction at a particular temperature can also be calculated.

why does copper have positive electrode potential? it has same inthalpy of ionisation(2) as nickel(-2121) so it should also have a negative value
