How is that the frequency of light does not chage from one medium to another

Expert Answer
When there is no relative motion between two media, the source and observer do not change position with time. So, time taken by the light to travel between the two media is fixed.
As frequency is 
, it remains same as time is remaining fixed.
, it remains same as time is remaining fixed.Also the freqeuncy is the characteristic of source, and so it is remains same as light travels from one medium to other.
