CBSE Class 11-science Answered

Dear Sir,

We know that L,M,N Shells of a Atom have p orbitals. All p orbital have dubell shape. We also Know that electron moves around nucleous in K, L, M Shells. Does this means that the electron in p subsheel of L shell crosses K shell in order to revolve around nucleous?

If Not, then is it possible that the electron of 2p1 will move only in the domain of L shell? that means it will Not revolve aroung nucleous indepently but will revolve because of being in L shell?

Please explain exactly how it happens

No, electron in p-subshell will not cross K-orbit because electron will remain only in one of the p-orbital lobes (depending upon the spin of the electron) and that lobe will revolve around the nucleus.
