A man gave 25% of the amount of money with him to his eldest son,20% to his younger son and 20% of the remainder to his daughter and the rest ₹880to his wife.Find the amount of money he had with him and also find the ratio of the money received by his eldest son to his younger son and to his daughter

Expert Answer
Let the man had Rs.x
Eldest son = 0.25x
Younger son = 0.2x
Remainder = 0.55x
Daughter =0.2×0.55x
Wife = 0.8×0.55x
800=0.8×0.55x
x=Rs. 1818.18
Ratio
0.25x:0.2x:0.11x
25:20:11
