A large no.  of fish are suddenly found floating dead on a lake.There is no evidence of toxic dumping but you find an abundance of phytoplankton.Suggest a reason why were fish found dead?

Hi Vikas,

1. Excessive phytoplankton growth may have caused the death of the fish due to biomagnification.

2. Due to the production of biotoxins from the phytoplanktons, the fish may have died.
