Force experienced by a moving charge in a magnetic field  = q v×B ....................(1)
 
where q is the charge, v is velocity vector and B is magnetic field vector that corresponds to the flux density B.
 
In eqn.(1) v and B are vectors and it is expressed in terms of cross product or vector product.
 
Force is in a direction perpendicular to both v and B and its magnitude is given by q×v×B×sinθ, where θ is the angle between v and B
