Youngs modulus Y = (4MgL)/(πd2l)
 
Measured quantities are diameter d and change in length l which are measured by micormeter and screw-gauge which have same pitch and same number of divisions in circular scale. hence measurment error for both the quantities is nearly equal.
 
By considering other parameters constant, we can write Y = k/(l×d2) or ΔY/Y = ( Δl/l )+ 2 (Δd/d)
 
hence the correct answer is " due to the error in the measurement of d is twice that due to error in the measurement of l "
