24. The dimensions of wooden block are 2 m x 0.25 m x 0.10 m. If relative density of wood is 0.6 , calculate mass of the block in kg. Density of water = 10^3 kg/m cu.

volume of wooden block = 2 × 0.25 × 0.1 m3 = 0.05 m3
 
Relative density of wood  = (density of wood )/ (density of water )
 
density of wood = 0.6 × 1000 = 600 kg/m3 
 
Mass of wood = 0.05 × 600 = 30 kg
