CBSE Class 9 Answered
what is the weight of an object at the centre of the earth
Asked by advscjaglan | 09 Aug, 2022, 20:22: PM
Weight of the object at centre of earth is zero.
weight of the object is the gravitational force of attraction towards earth centre.
If the object is anywhere inside a spherical shell , then the gravitational force
between object and spherical shell is zero.
if we consider the object is at centre , then we can assume the surronding earth is
thick spherical shell for the object as shown below

hence Weight of the object which is gravitational attractive force between earth
and object at centre of earth is zero.
