Types of Materials
Types of materialsPN Diode
The interface where the p-type material meets n-type material is called a p-n junction. A p-n junction is known as a diode.
Application of a voltage across the diode is called biasing.
A diode allows current to flow in the forward biased condition and does not allow any current to flow in the reverse biased condition.
PN junction diodes offer low resistance in forward bias and high resistance in reverse bias.
Diode rectify an ac by allowing the current to flow only in one direction.
Zener diodes are used for voltage regulation.
Solar cells convert photon energy into electricity.Applications of PN Diode

Study of making and characteristics of Junction transistors. Study in detail the working of a n-p-n transistor in common base and emitter modeApplications of Transistors
Study the working of Transistor as an amplifier and as a switchLogic Gates
Differentiate between analog and digital signals. Define the various types of logic gates and their truth tables.
