3x + 2y = 18
3x+2y -18 = 0 ........................(1)
a = 3 ; b = 2 ; c = -18 ;
let x = 4 , y = 3
then , 3x + 2y - 18 = ( 3 × 4 ) + ( 2 × 3 ) - 18 = 0
Hence x=4 and y = 3 is solution of the equation (1)

Let x = 1 , y = 2
then , 3x + 2y -18 = ( 3 × 1 ) + ( 2 × 2 ) -18 = -11 ≠ 0
Hence x=1 , y=2 is not the solution of equation (1)
