Expert Answer
Let the sum of the ages of the two children = x years
Then, father's age = 3x years
After 5 years the sum of the ages of two children = x +10
After 5 years father's age = 3x +5
According to question,
2( x +10 ) = 3x +5
2x +20 = 3x + 5
x = 15
Therefore father's present age = 3x = 45 years
