why we put food in refrigirator

- Perishable foods such as fruits, vegetables, fish and fresh meat are stored in the refrigerator.
- Refrigeration involves low temperature which slows down the growth of microorganisms.
- Low temperatures even retard the rate of chemical and enzymatic changes in food and prevent the food from getting spoilt.
- As result, the food stays fresh for a longer time.
