why there are 2 values of angle of deviation for 1 value of angle of incidence?

The  minimum deviation is the angle between the incident and emerging light rays after transmission through an object such as a prism or a water drop.
Since light passes through two sides of the prism so angle of deviation are two for one angle of incidence.
