why is a body moving with uniform speed the instantaneous speed and the average apeed are equal?

Instantaneous speed is defined as the speed at the given instant of time.
Uniform speed means speed remains constant, does not vary with time and average speed is same as uniform speed value.
Hence if speed is uniform, average speed and Instantaneous speed are one and the same.
