Why does the H atom in HNO3 bond with the Oxygen and not the Nitrogen atom. N being the central atom?

The H atom in HNO3 bonds with the Oxygen and not the Nitrogen atom since Oxygen is more electronegative than nitrogen and so can form hydrogen bonds.
Always remember in order to form hydrogen bonds, the element must be sufficiently electronegative, and be bonded to a hydrogen.
