CBSE Class 7 Answered
why can sun heat not reach the earth by conductors or convection

Conduction of heat taking place through matter. Convection is taking place in fluid(gas or liquid) due to density and temperature differences.
Between earth and sun,we have atmosphere cover surrounding the earth upto 100 km from earth's surface. After that we have only vacuum between atmosphere and sun. Hence heat from sun can not reach earth by conduction and convection. Heat from the sun can reach only through radiation that does not need any medium to transfer energy.
