CBSE Class 10 Answered
why are you hurt when you kick a stone?
Asked by kishor.kp14 | 24 Jul, 2019, 21:25: PM
When we kick a stone in short time , our leg hits the stone with speed and hence with momentum.
While kicking, our leg makes little contact time and stop our kicking action.
Hence within this contact time momentum comes to zero that gives high impulsive force to stone.
By Newtons third law, stone will give equal reaction force to our leg ,
hence we get hurt due to this reaction force from stone
