Expert Answer
we have mirror equation as
(1/v) + (1/u) = 1/f
where v is mirror-to-image distance , u is mirror-to-object distance and f is focal length .
u = -20 cm
f = -15 cm
1/v = 1/f - 1/u = (-1/15) +(1/20) = -1/60 cm-1 .
v = - 60 cm
image is formed at a distance 60 cm in front of mirror .
magnification = -v/u = - (-60)/(-20) = - 3 cm
image is real, magnified by 3 times and inverted .
