why a concave mirror cannot be used as a rear view mirror
Asked by geetanjalisahoo74 | 29 Mar, 2018, 23:41: PM
Rear view mirror is used by automobile drivers and two wheeler drivers to see the rear view of vechiles and people movement. Hence rear view mirror should give virtual, erect and minature images of objetcs present in the wide region seen by mirror. This is possible only with convex mirror. Concave mirror gives real and inverted images if the object is at a distance away from its focal length. When the object is placed beetween its focal point and centre of crvature image is magnified else image is diminished. Hence concave mirror is not used as rear view mirror
