Convoluted tubules are not a part of the renal pelvis. The renal pelvis is the innermost part of the kidney and acts as a funnel for urine flowing to the ureter. It is connected to the major and minor calyces, which collect urine from the renal pyramids.
Other parts of the renal pelvis include peritubular capillaries, collecting ducts and Loops of Henle.
