Which amount of gold is required for gold wire of 100 millimetre length

This can be found when the diameter of the wire which is to be drawn is known.
On having an enlarged view of a wire, we come to know that the piece of the wire is actually in the shape of a cylinder.
The amount of gold required to draw a wire of 100 mm length would be the volume of cylinder formed by this piece of wire.
volume of a cylinder = π r2 h
here, height of the cylinder is equal to the length of the wire
volume of required gold = π r2 (100) mm3
